1. Who we are

The Summer Stash is an independent summer storage service for college students. We deliver reusable bins and security seals, pick up your packed bins, store them in a climate-controlled facility, and return them in the fall. The Summer Stash is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Colorado Mesa University or any other school.

2. Inquiries and estimates

• The inquiry form lets you tell us what you would like to store and get an estimate. It does not reserve space or create a contract.
• Prices and estimates on this site are not final. We will confirm final pricing, dates, and details with you before you pay or any service begins.
• We may change packages, prices, service areas, or availability at any time before an order is confirmed.

3. What the storage price includes

The storage price includes bin delivery, pickup, climate-controlled storage for the summer, security seals, and standard fall return to Colorado Mesa University on-campus locations.

4. Optional Off-Campus Fall Delivery

• Off-Campus Fall Delivery is an optional add-on for $20 per order, not per bin.
• It applies to off-campus addresses within 10 miles of Colorado Mesa University.
• For locations outside that area, contact us for availability and pricing.

5. Mini-fridges, microwaves, and TVs

• Mini-fridges must be empty, cleaned, and turned off for at least 24 hours before pickup.
• Microwaves must be cleaned before pickup.
• TVs must be 45 inches or smaller and arrive in protective wrap or a box.
• We may decline or charge extra for any item that does not meet these requirements.

6. What you can and cannot store

Please do not store any of the following:

• Food, perishables, or liquids
• Flammable, explosive, or hazardous materials
• Weapons, drugs, alcohol, or anything illegal
• Live plants or animals
• Cash, jewelry, or other items of high value or that cannot be replaced

We may refuse or remove any item that we reasonably believe is unsafe, illegal, or not allowed.

7. Your responsibilities

• Give us accurate information and be reachable for scheduling.
• Pack your bins safely, close them, and apply the security seals we provide.
• Make sure your items are ready, and accessible, at the pickup time.
• Tell us about any item that is fragile or that we should handle with care.

8. Seals, storage, and return

Each bin is closed with a serialized, tamper-evident seal. We keep your bins stored together in a climate-controlled facility and return them in the fall to the address you give us. Return dates will be set with you. We do not open sealed bins unless needed for safety, legal, or security reasons.

9. Loss and damage

We will take reasonable care of your belongings. Details of any coverage or limits on our responsibility for loss or damage will be shared in your order confirmation before you pay. We recommend checking whether your or your family's renter's or homeowner's insurance covers items in storage.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.
